25 Things That Make You Smile or Laugh

Everyone goes through moments of unhappiness. But what if you could turn that around quickly? Smiling and laughing releases endorphins in our brains. Endorphins are the chemicals responsible for making us happy. So the best thing to do when you are unhappy? Smile or laugh.

Take a moment now and write down 25 things that make you smile or laugh. The sillier the better. Carry the list with you on paper or on your phone. And when you are feeling unhappy or stressed, read through your list and smile – you will become happier. The better the list, the bigger an impact it will have on your mood – so update it frequently.

Need some help writing a list? Here are 10 things that make people smile or laugh. These will be generic, so if you decide to use these, be as specific as possible.

1. A new baby in the family

2. Beautiful scenery

3. Being silly with friends

4. Funny memories

5. Holiday adventures

6. Vacations

7. Funny things kids say

8. Proud moments

9. Silly mistakes

10. A funny movie

One last thought You don’t need to share your own list with anyone. This is just for your benefit and some of the things (funny memories) are things you may not want to share. So write it as if no one will ever see it, and then decide if you will share it or not.

If you do choose to share your list, you can put it in the comments section, below. Who knows, maybe your list will help someone else write theirs.
